Taurangans are being urged to be extra vigilant after a man was killed in a road crash on Saturday.

Police were called to the area and found a 40-month-old child who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the man, who was believed to be in his 20s, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A manhunt is underway for the truck driver.
Police are urging drivers to be careful in the area.
