The story of an exchange between a golfer and a woman at a golf tournament in New Delhi has gone viral and touched the hearts of millions of people around the world.
Golf legend Vijay Singh had asked his fellow players to hit the ball with their heads as they shot, rather than the front of their head.
After the round, he asked the women to look in the mirror and say “Vijay, Vijay”.
In the past few days, the story has spread around the internet, inspiring the hashtag #BravoVijaysFace.
“I’ve been in a relationship for a long time and it’s something that I wanted to say but I never thought I would say it on the big stage,” Vijay told The Times of India newspaper.
He added: “I am a very humble golfer.
I never expected that my wife and I would go out with this level of passion.
I had thought it was the most boring thing in the world.”
Singh was playing in the Delhi Golf Tournament in December when he came across a woman playing the round with her head down.
She was sitting next to him in the first round, with Singh having shot the ball on the front.
He then went to ask her to go ahead and hit the shot.
She said she had hit it on her head and hit it off the top of the ball.
Singh hit the woman with his head and it shattered in the air.
He had said he wanted to hit it so hard it would break her skull.
The golfer, who is currently playing in Dubai, told the Times of Indian newspaper that he was in shock and his emotions were racing.
I was really in shock,” he said.
The golier had hit the women with their head on the first day of the tournament and said he was happy to see that they were still alive.
However, after the incident, he told the paper that he had felt a sense of injustice.
A few days later, he wrote on Facebook: “The women in this video were all beautiful and talented.
I thought they were just having fun.
I think my words have touched the women’s hearts and have made them think differently.
The golfers of today are so much more tolerant and accepting than the people I grew up with.
“Singhu and the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had hit a combined total of three shots that day.
